Virgin is a town in Washington County, Utah. Virgin is a rural community located along Utah State Route 9 along the Virgin River and near the Zion National Park.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Virgin has a population of more than 390 people. The town has a total area 11.9 square mileswith a population density of just over 30 people per square mile. It is located at altitudes of over 3,600 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Virgin are predominately white, accounting for about 96% of the population.

The rest of the population is also mostly concentrated near St. George.

Washington County School District provides public education for the students of the county. Dixie State College of Utah of St. George is the largest and major higher education institution in Washington County.
